Education System

Education System

The Australian schooling system is viewed as one of the appropriate school systems in the world for both homegrown and worldwide students. It holds high standards, a well framed curriculum, and highly qualified faculties.

Formal schooling in Australia is divided into four educational stages – early childhood education, primary education, secondary education, and tertiary education. Australia is the third-largest provider of education to international students.

Formal basic schooling  in Australia is structured into four stages –

1. Early childhood Education

Early childhood (Kindergarten) is the first stage for schooling in Australia which is for ages around 4 to 5 years. This early childhood education helps children to learn to make companions, express their imagination, fabricate relational abilities, and the perusing.

2. Primary Education

Primary schools start with age six, developing essential literacy, numeracy, intellectual and social-emotional skills. Basically in primary Education, they are taught more about the world around them.

3. Secondary Education

Secondary Education starts from the age of 7 or 8 for 3 to 4 years and after completion of secondary school at age of 11 or 12, they are supposed to appear in an exam and get awarded a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education.

4. Tertiary education

Tertiary education isIt’s partitioned into two areas; professional schooling and preparing (VET), which is enrolled and directed by the Australian Skills Quality Agency, and colleges which are enlisted by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency.

Vocational Education Training (VET)

VET capabilities range across four degrees of certificates (Certificate I, II, III and IV), as well as Diploma courses and Advanced Diploma courses.

VET basically depends upon the association Between Australian Federal and state government and industry bodies.

Foundation Studies

Foundation studies help International studies who may not at first meet requirements  to enroll and learn at Australian colleges and schools. The projects typically keep going for one year, and students are not required to sit for public exams. In simple words we can say that Foundation study prepares international students with skills they require for university studies and makes them ready for universities.

Australian Qualification Framework:

The Australian Qualifications Framework(AQF) manages every Australian qualification and decides the level of education that every qualification addresses. Each qualification leads into the following capability (see underneath) in the education framework.
